Affiliate Disclosure
SpecMyBag earns a commission when you buy a club through a retailer link on this site. It costs you nothing extra. It never changes the specification the tool recommends, because the arithmetic runs before any retailer is involved.
Where you will see this
A one-line version of this disclosure is rendered directly above the first retailer link on every page that carries one. That placement is not a convention here — it is built into the only component that can produce a retailer link, and the build fails if a page ever renders links without it. The US Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides require disclosure that is clear, conspicuous and close to the link, not buried in a footer or on a page like this one. This page exists in addition to that, not instead of it.

Current status: no commission is being earned
No affiliate tracking identifiers have been issued to this site yet. Until they are, the retailer links here are plain search links with no tracking parameter attached, and SpecMyBag earns nothing from them. This notice will be removed when that changes. It is here because a disclosure that overstates a commercial relationship is as misleading as one that hides it.
Why it does not change what you are told
The order of operations on this site is fixed, and it is worth understanding because it is the whole reason the recommendations can be trusted:
- You enter your measurements. Nothing leaves your device — see the privacy policy.
- The arithmetic produces a specification: 10.5 degrees, stiff flex, 60 grams, half an inch over standard, two degrees upright, 50 / 54 / 58.
- Only then does a retailer link appear, and it searches the retailer's own catalogue for that specification.
No retailer has paid for placement, and none can. There is no sponsored slot to buy. The retailers shown for a given specification are ordered by how well they serve golfers buying used clubs, because that is who this site is for.
Why the links point at used clubs
Deliberately. If you are searching for what loft driver suits a 90 mph swing, you are self-diagnosing rather than booking a fitting bay, and the used market is where a self-diagnosed spec is cheapest to act on. A specification does not expire: a 10.5° stiff-flex head built in 2019 is the same specification today. That is also why links here search for a spec rather than pointing at one listing — used clubs are one-of-one and sell within days, and a link to a sold club helps nobody.
What this site does not do
- No reviews and no ratings. No club has been tested here, so there is nothing to review. You will not find a star rating anywhere on this site, and none is emitted in the page's structured data either.
- No sponsored articles. No manufacturer or retailer has commissioned, reviewed or approved anything published here.
- No specification is adjusted toward a product. If the arithmetic says 12°, the answer is 12°, whether or not there happens to be a 12° head in stock anywhere.
